More about ‘Women of my Tribe’ and Céline Faty”
Women of my Tribe- Denmark is a non-profit organization Céline Faty is originally from the French Caribbean. She is a multi-passionate woman and mother of 2. She runs her company Qiim Art, an African inspired casual clothing line, runs her French lessons podcast and teaching venture and help tourists discover Copenhagen with her brilliant walking tours.
Prior to her fashion career, Céline was a singer for over 20 years, touring all around the world. While she was touring in Ivory Coast, West Africa, she felt inexplicably attracted to the amazing colours of the printed fabrics that the local women were proudly wearing and she bought several of them, just for their beauty. This came at a time when she was ready to change her professional career and it gave her the inspiration to delve into fashion.
As a result, in 2011, she created QIIM, a unique “African-inspired” clothing line. Céline is also an author, a motivational speaker, and a mother of two children. She decided to settle down in Copenhagen in 2013 with her family with whom she shares her love of art.

Why have I called the organization Women of My Tribe?
Being part of a collective community, helps women feel strong and empowered, thus enriching their lives with positivity.
While living away from my country of origin, and navigating a “new” life in Denmark, I’ve gained confidence, and a sense of purpose through gathering and forming connections with other women, like myself. I no longer feel lonely or isolated, because a tribe gives a strong sense of belonging, which is vital for a healthy, and productive life. A tribe also fosters an environment for the generation of new ideas, for both work, and daily life.
Apart from being successful business owners, my tribe consists of mothers, wives, and sisters; all facing the same challenges but finding strength in the meeting. Even though we are in different stages of life, the common goal of maintaining a successful business, in the midst of tests and possible setbacks, keeps us focused and flourishing as women.
Therefore, because of these many reasons, I’ve chosen to name my organization, Women of My Tribe. Together we are stronger.
